MEDITATION INSTRUCTION
Explore meditation with gentle guidance and compassionate curiosity.
Learn to connect with your breath, body, and the present moment through
contemplative practices that meet you where you are.
Why Meditation Instruction?
You don’t need experience, special insight, or a quiet mind to begin exploring mindfulness and meditation practices.
This offering is for people who are curious about mindfulness or meditation and want guidance in starting, returning to, or deepening a practice in a way that feels approachable, supportive, and grounded in everyday life. Meditation offers a way to relate to your moment to moment experience with greater awareness and steadiness without needing to change or control it.
Rather than focusing on fixing or improving yourself, meditation instruction invites you to learn how to gently notice and tend to what is already happening in your body, breath, and attention. Together, we explore simple practices that help you become more familiar with and friendly toward your inner experience.
Sessions are paced slowly and shaped around what feels manageable for you. Practices are introduced gradually, with plenty of space for questions, adjustment, integration and reflection.
How This Differs from Therapy
Meditation instruction and psychotherapy have different intentions and structures.
Meditation Instruction focuses on learning and practicing mindfulness techniques, developing consistency with meditation practice, and refining how you relate to practice itself.
Therapy focuses on emotional processing, mental health treatment and working directly with psychological distress or life challenges.
While we offer both services, they are held as distinct offerings. Meditation instruction does not involve diagnosis, treatment planning, or clinical intervention, and it is not a substitute for psychotherapy.
Sliding Scale Pricing
Mindfulness and meditation instruction is offered on a sliding scale to make it accessible to everyone. You can pay per session or pre-pay for multiple sessions based on your needs, with no required commitment. If you have questions about rates or session options, we’re happy to answer them in a free consultation.
Individual sessions: $30–$60 per 30–45 minute session
Group sessions: $15–$30 per participant, depending on format and size
Choose the rate that feels right for you—your practice, your pace, your life.
Areas of Focus
Meditation instruction focuses on exploring contemplative practices—such as attention to breath, body awareness, and present-moment observation—and developing a steady, sustainable relationship with practice over time. Sessions emphasize guided practice, experiential learning, and reflective inquiry.
While meditation can support emotional well-being, the intention is not to process personal history or treat mental health conditions. The focus is on cultivating deeper awareness, presence, and familiarity with your inner experience through structured meditation practice.
Our approach is trauma-aware and somatically informed, offering options and pacing that respect individual nervous systems. Instruction is collaborative and adaptive, helping you develop practices that fit your life, capacity, and interests—on and off the cushion.
Areas of focus may include:
Establishing or deepening a meditation practice
Developing mindful awareness of body, breath, and attention
Practicing in a trauma-sensitive, non-forcing way
Integrating mindfulness into daily life
