Raymond Tapia, MA, LPCC

  • As a somatic-informed contemplative therapist, Raymond’s work is rooted in embodied mindfulness and guided by a relational, collaborative approach. He helps clients reconnect with all parts of themselves and integrate their experience, especially during times of transition, uncertainty, or inner complexity.

With a steady and grounded presence, Raymond creates space for clients to slow down and compassionately witness whatever experience arises in the present moment. Through this tender awareness, clients cultivate curiosity, gain insight, and deepen their connection to thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations.

He attends to individual experience as well as the broader social and systemic factors shaping how clients relate to themselves and the world. He helps clients explore inner complexity without pressure to simplify, honoring their wholeness and capacity to navigate nuanced contradictions with care.

Raymond has a particular interest in supporting individuals with fluid identities—across race, culture, gender, sexuality, and neurodivergence—and approaches questions of identity and belonging with openness and curiosity. He works with those seeking a warm, patient, and imaginative approach to therapy that creates a space for reflection, possibility, and growth.

Raymond holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University. He engages in ongoing training with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, specializing in somatic trauma-informed approaches.
